We hope that everyone who played in our Handicap Open today – the Raymond Smart trophy enjoyed their day.

Here’s one man who certainly did – Gareth Risk, from Falkirk Tryst, who had a hole-in-one at the 8th today – Well played Gareth – and thanks for the dram!!

Many thanks to all the staff and volunteers at Newbattle today for helping the day run smoothly. The starters who saw the players out, the bar staff, and kitchen staff, and to the guys in the Pro shop that sorted out the registration of all out players today. Its a long day and we really appreciate all the efforts of everyone who contribute to make the day a success.

The course was in great condition once again.  We got a lot of compliments on the day about the preparation of the course, and that is very gratifying for us to hear. Our thanks go to our greens staff who had prepared the course to such a great standard.

Prizes are awarded for the top 9 handicap totals, and the best 3 scratch scores. Vouchers for the winners will be sent to your home clubs where you will be able to collect them.

As ever, if you qualify for both a handicap and a scratch prize, you will receive only the higher valued prize and the next eligible player will pick up the other voucher.
